We at “Ulysses Blue” are a couple of Aussies wanting to share the incredible talent that we have seen around us with those who don’t have the opportunity to visit and view the beautiful and uniquely Australian arts and crafts which are “out there”. While travelling through various parts of Australia, we were saddened by the fact that we only had the opportunity to view and purchase these amazing creations when we were on location. The opportunity comes and then you leave and it is gone, not to mention the problem of not having the spending money at the time you see it.
Well hopefully, we will be able to solve these problems. Our goal is to find as much uniquely Australian Craft and Art, and display it for the world to see and purchase via our website.
We are a mother/daughter team.
I am a married stay at home mum, with three growing children. I love arts and crafts, but can’t say I have much talent in creating. I have tried a bit of basic quilting, painting and card making. I also enjoy cooking special meals or desserts. I’m a bit over the daily “what’s for dinner mum?”.
I have the pleasure of being the mother and business partner of Michelle. Family include three adult children, their partners and seven beautiful grandchildren each of whom hold a very special place in my heart. I have travelled extensively throughout Australia. I am passionate about the beauty of this amazing country and the creativity of the people I have met along the way, hence the decision of Michelle and myself, in developing this website and giving people from around the globe the opportunity to enjoy the creative gifts and art work we have had the good fortune to experience.

About the Name - Ulysses Blue
There is a butterfly in North Queensland called the Papilio ulysses. It has a beautiful blue and black on the inside of its wings, as you can see in this picture. (Ulysses is pronounced "you liss ease"). 
We are both very fond of butterflies, and the Ulysses butterfly in particular. My (Michelle's) oldest daughter, was the one to come up with the name. She was actually admiring the colour of a car that went by and said something like, "That car is Ulysses blue". Mum and I both loved the name and it has stuck ever since.
